Located in the Harz Mountains, original parts of the former border are on display, including sections of the signal and border fence, the dog run, a reinforced border post, the patrol road made of concrete slabs, and a watchtower.
Bernd F. Laeschke is an award-winning journalist and photographer whose career spans more than 30 years.
