Native Florida Wood Print

Way north of Miami and West Palm Beach, almost in cave diving country, there is a stretch of land I call native Florida. Located along the St. Johns River between Crescent Lake and Lake George and close to the Ocala National Forest, old wooden homes stand in the shade under old trees covered with Spanish moos. Time has a different meaning here, and days are counted by the number of fish cached.

Bernd F. Laeschke is an award-winning journalist and photographer whose career spans more than 30 years. While working as a full-time reporter and on assignments, images and articles appeared in many national and international publications in North America and Western Europe.
