Virtually uninhabited, the Harz National Park in northern Germany covers an area of approximately 61,035 Acres (24,700 hectare) and offers an ecologically complex landscape in different vegetation zones. Every year, the park is visited more than 10 million times.
About Bernd Laeschke
Bernd F. Laeschke is an award-winning journalist and photographer whose career spans more than 30 years. While working as a full-time reporter and on assignments, images and articles appeared in many national and international publications in North America and Western Europe.
