First mentioned in 757 as Deozincova, Dissenhofen today is a market town with a population of 3,998. The city is located in the Canton Thurgau in Switzerland, just across the Rhine river from Gailingen, Germany. The clear air during the winter months and the river provide a perfect setting for the medieval town.
