Hikers can access the scenic Wimmertal in Tirol, Austria, from the small town of Gerlos-Gmuend. At the Grundlochalm, hikers can reach an altitude of about 1,760 meter (5,774 foot). From here, the alpine foot path climbs up to the Wimmerscharte, where a height of more more than 2,500 meter (8,202 foot) is reached.
